Activities

• GGFD Wet Down : Bake sale was a success. The proceeds will go to offset expenses for the community picnic.

• Tag Day was very successful and the funds raised will go towards the Halloween and Christmas parties this year.

Announcement:

The Grand Gorge Community Action Group is sad to announce the passing of a longtime member, Cathy Loiacono. She passed away Sunday June 23. Cathy was an integral part of the group for many years and she will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and sympathy go out to her family.

The Grand Gorge Community Action Group is working hard on the Streetscape Program for the Village of Grand Gorge We hope you all enjoy and appreciate the improvements we have made.

Two 5’ garden benches placed in front of the United Methodist Church.

New Sign at entrance of Civic Center.

New dwarf trees in pots lining driveway of Civic Center.

More improvements to come include:

12 trees to be planted around the center of town beginning June 19th.

Six more benches will be place as follows:
2 in front of Beauty Kreations / The Hub
2 in front of The Dugout
2 in front of St. Philip Neri Church

New directional sign to be placed at the corner of Routes 23 and 30 (Van’s Variety property)
